Battery Operated
Portable Radiation Meter, compact size, very accurate, runs on
standard 9v battery. For use as a personal monitor for potential radiation
exposure.
This meter is also, excellent for scanning lab work areas, clothing, masks,
food &
water for traces of radioactivity. Small and light enough to go anywhere,
yet sensitive
enough to detect minuscule amounts of gamma, beta, or X rays. One-button
operation, can be used by untrained personnel.
Audible clicking will increase with the amount of background radiation.
Alarm sounds at 20 mR/hr and increases in frequency in proportion to the
radiation level. Powered by a standard 9 Volt battery, included,
which lasts 50 hours at normal background levels. ...Remember to have
spares
on hand.
Specs: Uses a Geiger-Mueller tube detector. Dual Scales:
Range 0.1 - 10 mR/hr (milli-Roentgen) and 1-100 uSv/h on a unique
